Former eircom League stars Trevor Molloy, Brian Shelley and Richie Foran, endured a shameful afternoon with their new employers Carlisle United this afternoon.

The trio were all sent off in Carlisle’s 1-0 away victory to Lincoln City.

Molloy, a former St Patrick’s Athletic, Bohemians and most recently Shelbourne player, scored the winning goal but received his marching orders late in the game for abusive language.

Foran has been touted as a hot prospect but had that reputation tarnished somewhat following a series of red cards with his time at Shelbourne. He lasted just nine minutes at Sincil Bank this afternoon before being sent from the pitch for violent conduct.

Shelley, who like Molloy played under current boss Roddy Collins at Bohemians, was sent off 14 minutes from time also for violent conduct.
