A garda spokesman yesterday declined to comment on media reports that the arrest of a man on Wednesday was connected to the Omagh bombing last August. He said the man was arrested "in the Castleblayney area of Monaghan and he's detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act". One man has been charged with involvement in the bombing.
