RuPaul: The Irish are ‘deadlaí agus maightí’

Drag queen RuPaul has called "a mhuintir na hÉireann" "deadlaí agus maightí" in a tweet – in Irish – to show her support for Michelle Visage, one of the judges on Ireland's Got Talent. RuPaul, host of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars, warned that we had better work hard or we would be "ag sashayáil away".

Visage, known for her straightforward judging style on RuPaul's show, judges the new Ireland's Got Talent alongside Louis Walsh, Jason Byrne and Denise Van Outen.

In English, the Tweet reads: "People of Ireland! What's the craic? I hear that my girl Michelle Visage is doing great on Ireland's Got Talent. It's clear that you queens are deadly and mighty as well, but you better work, or you'll be sashaying away!"

The third season of RuPaul's All Stars, which began in January, sees winners from previous seasons compete against each other for a place in the Hall of Fame. RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor and head judge in the search for "America's next drag superstar."
