The Irish Times has teamed up with the four-star Cahernane House Hotel in Killarney, Co. Kerry to give one lucky reader the chance to win a stunning two-night stay with breakfast both mornings and four-course dinner on one evening in the famous Herbert’s Restaurant.

The elegant and historic Cahernane House Hotel is well known for its stunning food and classic Irish hospitality. Situated adjacent to Killarney National Park on its own private grounds and just a short stroll to the centre of Killarney, the hotel offers guests a luxurious and peaceful escape from a busy world.

The menu changes seasonally and chef Vesey is a firm believer in cooking with the seasons to ensure only the highest quality and freshest produce makes it to his kitchen.

This historic hotel was built in the 19th century and has been sympathetically restored to its former glory by the owners, PREM Group. The 48-bedroom hotel situated on the Muckross Road, has often been regarded as a mini ‘Downton Abbey’ with its elegant and original antiques and individually appointed bedrooms. Many of the rooms feature stand-alone slipper baths and bedrooms offer panoramic views across the gardens to the mountains beyond. Despite the fact that the hotel is so old, there’s no end of modern conveniences such as complimentary Wi-Fi and complimentary Electric Vehicle chargers which are on site.

The hotel has lots of Gourmet Getaway offers available throughout the year with both one and two night options available and with great food on offer a stay here is a real treat.
