Croatia Zagreb scored their first win at home to point-less Sturm Graz with Tomo Sokota twice on target. Zagreb are two points adrift of Marseille in Group D, to whom they earlier lost at home, while Manchester United are one point clear at the top.
In Arsenal's Group B, Fiorentina were held to a goalless draw in Stockholm by AIK Solna.
Elsewhere, Lazio moved into top spot in Group A ahead of Germany's Bayer Leverkusen after swamping 10-man Maribor 4-0 in Rome while Leverkusen could only draw at home 1-1 to Dynamo Kiev.
Lazio raced two points clear after two goals in the space of two-second half minutes on the hour from Simone Inzaghi and Sergio, Conceicao while Chilean substitute Marcelo Salas added two more in the space of five minutes late on.
Bayer Leverkusen preserved their unbeaten record in Group A, but will be disappointed to have only drawn 1-1 at home to Dynamo Kiev.
