LORCAN WYER has pencilled in Catterick on Wednesday for a comeback from his latest injury scare.

Wyer felt "pretty good" yesterday after a fall at Doncaster on Saturday and is looking forward to teaming up again with Cumbrian Maestro, who gave him his first success after a long lay-off on the North Yorkshire course last week.

The 32-year-old jump jockey was taken to hospital after Thornton Gate - the horse whose fall at Aintree last November put him on the sidelines for four months - fell fatally in the Light Infantry Plate Handicap Hurdle.

Brendan Powell also revealed that he is "all right" after a heavy fall at Newbury but will not ride again until Wednesday.
