THE disciplinary committee of the Welsh Rugby Union will meet on Tuesday night to consider the incident in which the Wales flanker Martyn Williams is alleged to have stamped on Ireland second row forward, Malcolm O'Kelly, during the A International between Ireland and Wales last Friday week.
The IRFU sent a video of the incident to the WRU asking that it be viewed.
The video will be watched by the WRU Disciplinary committee and Williams has a right to attend to offer a defence.
If Williams is found guilty of stamping, he is likely to be suspended for six weeks.
The Ireland team announced last night will be in for some hard work at Lansdowne Road this morning and afternoon as well as tomorrow morning. The A team will also be training at the weekend. They will be going for the Triple Crown at this level when they meet England in Richmond next Friday.
The Ireland Youths break new ground tomorrow when they meet Spain in Valladolid.
At Thomond Park this afternoon Young Munster and Old Crescent, meet in the final of the Limerick Charity Cup and that decider should provide a very worthy contest as it invariably does.
There are senior league ties in Ulster today and in Crowley Park tomorrow, Galwegians and Ballina will meet to decide which club will face Corinthians in the final of the Connacht Senior League. The first round replay of the Connacht Senior Cup between Sligo and Westport goes ahead at Strandhill tomorrow. The sides drew last Sunday.
There will be some hectic activity at the Sports Ground, Galway, this afternoon when the finals of both the Connacht Senior and Junior Schools Cups are decided.
Garbally the cup specialists, will be going for the double yet again, a feat they achieved last season. They meet Sligo GS in the senior final and the opposition in the junior final will be provided by their keen rivals St Joseph's College Galway.
The McCorry Cup has graced the Leinster scene for the last quarter of a century and no club has been more successful in this under 19 competition than UCD. Tomorrow at Donnybrook (4.0 p.m.) they will defend the title they won last season when they face Old Belvedere, whose name appears on the plinth just once the 1982 winners.
Old Belvedere lost the final of the Fanagan Cup (under 20) earlier this season going down narrowly to Clontarf. Ten of the side that contested that final will be in the Old Belvedere side tomorrow and that experience gained at the higher level could prove very valuable in what promises to be a very closely contested decider.
