We could be wrong but we reckon, judging by the tone of The Tartan Army Home Pages, that Scotland's supporters would very much like to beat England in the Euro 2000 Play-offs. "Wembley, Wembley, it was the finest pitch in Europe 'till we took it all away," they sing (on the Chants and Ditties page), commemorating the time they took most of the home of English football back with them to Scotland. Check out the "Tartan Army Player of the Year" awards. Here's a taster: 1973 - Jan Tomaszewski (Polish goalie who broke English hearts at Wembley); 1981 - The Norway side, especially the commentator; 1986 - Diego Maradona; 1996 - Andreas Moller and Gareth Southgate (joint award) and 1998 - "The Two Davids" - Batty and Beckham.
