Readers of Four-Four-Two might have spotted the magazine's recent recommendation of this site, a "tribute" to Peterborough's 25-year-old midfielder Zeke Rowe. Well, it's more of a mickey-taking effort actually because, by all accounts, Zeke won't be challenging for the World Footballer of the Year title in the foreseeable future (and that's being polite).

Our hosts provide entirely fictitious accounts of Zeke's troubled youth, by way of an explanation for his two left feet. And their message-board contains lots of suggestions (unrepeatable) for what alternative careers he should pursue.

However . . . it seemed that Zeke might have the last laugh on his detractors when, a fortnight ago, Italian third division club Torres decided to sign him and two other Peterborough players - Ballybofey-born Chris McMenamin and Anders Koogi - until the end of the season. "Put that in yer pipe and smoke it," Zeke probably felt like saying, "I'm off to Italy, I am."

All three departed for Sardinia, where they met up with their new team mates, and were well impressed with their new surroundings.

But, horror of horrors, the headline on the website at the weekend revealed the bad news: "Zeke Rowe nel movimento Italiano". It seems the lads' international clearance didn't arrive before the Italian transfer deadline and now they're all back playing reserve team football in sunny Peterborough. Gutted isn't the word.
