BASKETBALL/SUPERLEAGUE AND SCHOOLS' FINAL: This may be sounding like a broken record but Waterford can secure the ESB Superleague title this weekend. Last Saturday's defeat to Killester prolonged their quest a little longer than expected but if they beat Notre Dame tomorrow evening (5.45) then the title is theirs.

The game takes place at Oblate Hall in Inchicore and Notre Dame's chances of further stalling Waterford's quest have been hit by injury - Brandon Hughes and Anthony Jenkins are doubtful starters. If Waterford slip up, however, then Killester are still in the hunt. But they must also secure the points when they meet Tralee, a game that is sure to be tight.

The battle for places in the top-eight is also reaching a climax and UCD Marian will need to defeat Neptune to be sure of their spot. Star of the Sea can move into contention if they can beat Tyrone and the Demons.

Superleague Fixtures: Tonight - Tyrone v Star of the Sea, 8.30; Tomorrow - Notre Dame v Waterford Crystal, 5.45; Sligo v St Vincent's, 7.30; Tolka Rovers v Killarney, 7.30; Tralee Tigers v Killester, 7.45; Neptune v UCD Marian, 8.0; Tyrone v Demons, Dungannon, 8.0; Sunday - Star of the Sea v Demons, 2.30; Tyrone v Notre Dame, 3.0; Limerick v Tralee Tigers, 3.30.
