The former Argentine prop Patricio Noriega will make his debut for Australia against France in Paris on Saturday after a three-year wait. The 27-year-old made in the line-up yesterday after tight-head prop Glenn Panoho was ruled out of the rest of the Wallabies' European tour with a torn calf muscle.

Noriega was capped 22 times by Argentina before moving to Australia after the 1995 World Cup to play for Australian Capital Territories (ACT).

Scott Quinnell last night won his appeal against a 14-day suspension imposed for late-tackling England captain Lawrence Dallaglio. It means that the Lions back row forward can play for Wales in next Saturday's Test match against Argentina at Stradey Park, Llanelli.Australia: C Latham; J Little, D Herbert, N Grey, J Roff; S Larkham, G Gregan; T Kefu, D Wilson, M Cockbain, J Eales (capt), T Bowman, A Blades, P Kearns, P Noriega.
