John Caulfield headed Cork City into the lead after 11 minutes against UCD at Belfield yesterday. But Cork's lead lasted just three minutes with Jason Colwelt pouncing on a poor defensive clearance to strike with an exquisite volley.
Further flaws in the Cork defence were exposed on the half hour when goalkeeper Jody Byrne was left stranded from a James Keddy cross with central defender Tony McDonnell diving in at the far post and injuring himself in the process.
