Thurles CBS 2-6 Our Lady's Templemore 0-12:County minor star Noel McGrath was an inspiring figure, scoring 10 points, as Our Lady's Templemore snatched a draw with Thurles CBS in a thrilling quarter-final at The Ragg yesterday.

Thurles dominated the first half and led by 2-4 to 0-3 at half-time thanks to goals by John O'Neill after three minutes and David Butler in the 15th.

Three minutes after resuming, Thurles again netted but James Barry's long-range effort was disallowed for an infringement of the square. This let-off sparked a Templemore rally which ended with points by McGrath and Shane Delaney in injury-time to earn a second chance.
