The son of Danehill Dancer will have his first start in JP McManus’s colours in the two mile maiden hurdle and there will be plenty of interest in how a horse capable of beating Champagne Fever in a bumper last Christmas gets on.
Champagne Fever went on to prove himself the outstanding bumper performer of the season and Thomas Edison brings some previous jumping experience from last November into tomorrow’s race. Listowel’s amateur riders race looks ultra-competitive but Elyaadi, a course winner over hurdles, and a Royal Ascot runner up last year, could be the key under Katie Walsh. Nina Carberry will be on board the dual-chase winner Definite Class in the Ladies race at Tramore today and he can continue his good run. Security Breach can reward Andy Oliver’s long trip to the south coast from Tyrone in the mile and a half maiden while at Kilbeggan tomorrow Mister Benedictine can follow up at Ballinrobe win on Tuesday under a penalty.
