Aidan O'Brien is likely to be two handed in next Thursday's July Cup at Newmarket, although a decision as to who accompanies Stravinsky in the Group One contest has yet to be made. Stravinsky, who drops down a furlong after his fourth in the Jersey Stakes, is the likely mount of Michael Kinane but the participation of Orpen, Bianconi or Lavery has not been ruled out.

"At the moment it looks like Stravinsky and something else will run but I'm not sure yet which of the others will go," O'Brien said yesterday. "Any of the four could go but Stravinsky looks the strongest at this stage." The leading trainer will also send three colts to Newmarket with the seven length Leopardstown winner Mull Of Kintyre, a son of Danzig, taking his chance in Wednesday's Group Three July Stakes.

The well publicised newcomer Zentsov Star, who is owned by the Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson, is set to start his career in the Parker Maiden Stakes. A hint as to the quality of Mull Of Kintyre's debut performance came from Newpark Lady at Bellewstown and another may come at Roscommon tomorrow from Reve De Nuit.

The Kevin Prendergast trained filly followed up a promising second to Manhattan at Fairyhouse by finishing fourth to Mull Of Kintyre. She should appreciate the hike up to seven furlongs in the EBF Maiden. Anyone who saw Silverware trot up at the Curragh eight days ago will be in no hurry to oppose him in the seven furlong handicap. The Sligo winner Penndara could be a value bet to beat Quinze in the handicap hurdle, while the Kilbeggan winner Scallybuck could follow up under Kieran Gaule in the handicap chase.
