Danny Fulton has stepped down as coach of National Basketball Superleague champions Star of the Sea after 15 years in charge of the Belfast club. Fulton wanted to leave as coach a year ago but remained on for the 1997-98 season, which proved to be the most successful in the club's history as he guided his squad to win both the league and the post-season National Championship.

He took the club from the old division three to league title success during his tenure and he makes way for former Queen's coach Darren O'Neill, who was coach of the under-19 squad at Star of Sea last year.
