Schools Rugby Leinster Junior Cup/St Andrew's College 20 Wesley College 0: St Andrew's College booked their place in the second round yesterday at Seapoint. Wesley were outclassed by a stronger and quicker St Andrew's who never looked like losing from the moment outhalf and captain James Murray opened the scoring with a fine individual try after just two minutes.

In near-perfect conditions, St Andrew's dominated, with the back line using the ball efficiently and the forwards steam-rollering over Wesley's pack. The only downside was the failure to add the conversion to any of their four tries.

The backs and pack combined for a second try on 15 minutes when a fine back-row move earned a scrum within five metres of the line allowing Eoin Cremen to power over after a succession of rucks.

A third try arrived in similar circumstances in the 31st minute and, despite dominating the second half territorially, St Andrew's only added one more try when centre Alex Murphy went over.
