ROSCOMMON PREVIEW: With all the excitement of the Galway Festival now fading into memory, the setting moves to the more sedate Roscommon, where the pick of the action on an eight-race jumps card would appear to be the J F Hanley Handicap Hurdle.

Regal Ambition is sure to prove a popular selection following his recent CD success, although strong opposition comes in the shape of A Little Different, who made a reappearance full of promise when second over fences in June, and Brega Queen, who has been in really good form.

The action begins at 5.10 with the Railway Bar three-year-old Maiden Hurdle, with all of these tackling timber for the first time.

74-rated Flat performer Why But Why comes off the level in good form and appeals, although Roman Flight is of more interest having made a winning Flat debut at Limerick in June.

There appear to be standout performers in each division of the Dysart Maiden Hurdle, with the first division expected to go the way of Undertheboardwalk who displayed much improved form when chasing home London Bridge at Bellewstown last month.

Minella King could go off a warm order in the second division following his recent near miss at Ballinrobe.
