Racing: Champion stayer Yeats will face a maximum of 12 rivals if he lines up in Saturday's Irish Field St Leger at the Curragh.

Aidan O'Brien's charge suffered a shock half-length defeat at the hands of Kastoria in the one-mile-six-furlong contest last term and could be joined by stablemates Septimus and Scorpion if he bids for redemption.

Dermot Weld could run Melbourne Cup hopeful Bellamy Cay while Kevin Prendergast has confirmed Mores Wells as an intended runner.

"He runs in the Irish Leger at the weekend," Prendergast told At The Races.

"I don't think the extra two furlongs will do him any harm. He will be running the mile and six furlongs for the first time but he seems to stay well. His family seems to stay - his dam won the Queen's Vase at Ascot."

The Brian Meehan-trained Admiral's Cruise, Richard Fahey's Anna Pavlova and the George Moore trained Macorville form part of strong British challenge.

Mighty, Steppe Dancer and The Whistling Teal could also feature in the raiding party.  Ezima and Galistic complete the list of possibles.
