Visiting Finn Harps calls the tune in FAI Cup replay against Cobh Ramblers

A pair of goals from placed balls set Finn Harps on their way to the last eight for the first time in 10 years at St Colman’s Park last night.

The first goal came 34 minutes in as Lee Toland set Kevin McHugh free down the left wing before the striker was needlessly brought down by Craig Burns in the box, and McHugh sent the goalkeeper the wrong way from the resultant spot kick.

Toland then turned scorer four minutes later as he punished Brendáin Frahill’s handball on the edge of the box with a powerful low shot.

Frahill (for a second yellow) and Roy Kenny saw the line midway through the second half and further goals from Paul McVeigh and Michael Funston secured Harps' win and the victors will now welcome Drogheda United to Finn Park .
