Carlos Tevez, who scored for Argentina in the Copa America last night, will turn his attention to securing a long-term place in the Premier League after a move to Inter Milan failed to come to fruition.
It emerged last night that the West Ham forward has turned down a move to Inter after the Serie A champions imposed a deadline for him to make a decision.
The Argentina international has been linked to several clubs in England and abroad but is keen to remain in the Premier League.
A statement from Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian, said: "Inter put a deadline on the decision and Carlos' heart is really in the Premier League, so he was not prepared to meet that cut-off point."
Real Madrid, Liverpool and Inter were among the clubs strongly linked with a move for the 23-year-old but Inter seemingly ruled themselves out of the running due to their demands.
