Soccer:The semi-final draw for the Setanta Sports Cup was made in Belfast today with Dundalk to take on Cliftonville and Shamrock Rovers will play either Sligo Rovers or Portadown.

Shamrock Rovers were the latest team into the last four after last night’s 4-2 win over Lisburn Distillery at Tallaght Stadium to win 7-2 on aggregate.

On Monday night Cliftonville were one-half of a goal-fest as they defeated fellow Irish League side Crusaders 6-4 on the night to win the tie 10-6 on aggregate,

Ross Gaynor’s 80th minute at Oriel Park on Monday settled the nerves for Dundalk as they drew 1-1 with Glentoran to book their place in the last four 2-1 on aggregate.

Sligo and Portadown have yet to get their quarter-final underway after postponement due to fixture congestion. The first leg will take place next Monday (28th) at the Showgrounds with the return leg at Portadown’s Shamrock Park on Monday, April 4th with both kick-offs at 7.45pm.
