Derry City's Paddy McCourt is bound for the Premiership after the Candystripes and West Bromwich Albion agreed a fee for the winger at the weekend.

McCourt has yet to agree personal terms and must undergo a medical at The Hawthorns but the transfer will proceed immediately if no complications arise in either process.

Though the fee remains undislcosed, it is believed to be significantly better than West Brom's initial offer of around €63,000 for the 24-year-old, which was promptly dismissed by Derry.

The medical is expected to take place early next week, according to a Derry City club statement.
