Soccer: Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard will miss Saturday's game against Swansea City and the England friendlies against Spain and Sweden, according to the club.

The 31-year-old, who only returned to the Liverpool starting line-up two weeks ago after six months out with a groin injury, has undergone treatment on an infection in his right ankle.

England host Spain on November 12th and Sweden on the 15th.

Liverpool were without Gerrard last weekend after he travelled to the Hawthorns to face West Brom but was ruled out shortly before kick-off. Liverpool won the game 2-0 with goals from Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll.
