Green completes Hammers move

West Ham have completed the signing of England goalkeeper Robert Green from Norwich.

West Ham have completed the signing of England goalkeeper Robert Green from Norwich.

The deal, which could rise to £2million sterling, represents a major coup for West Ham and ends their summer-long search for a new goalkeeper.

Green, 26, is recovering from the groin injury which ruled him out of England's World Cup squad — but he passed a medical yesterday and has agreed terms on a four-year deal with the Hammers.

When fully fit, Green will compete with Northern Ireland international Roy Carroll for top billing at Upton Park.
