Drogheda United have signed Tony Grant on a two-year contract from Bohemians with Mark Leech set to move in the opposite direction on loan until the end of the season.

Grant's registration has gone through in time for him to be registered for The Drogs' UEFA Cup Away Leg against HJK Helsinki on Thursday.

A trainee with Leeds United, Grant signed for Preston North End in November 1995. He was loaned out to Glenavon, making a permanent move to the Lurgan club in January 1997 where he scored the only goal in their Irish Cup final win over Cliftonville later that same year.

In the summer of 2000 he signed for Shamrock Rovers before becoming one of Bohs new signings in 2004. Grant scored 6 League goals in 27 appearances last season.
