Euro 2020 Group B: Can Belgium’s golden generation deliver?

Denmark should progress to knockout stages ahead of Russia and Finland

Belgium

Odds: 6-1
Previous best: Runners-up 1980
Prospects: Can the golden generation get their hands on a trophy? The Red Devils have the players to win it and have been handed a favourable group.
Manager: Roberto Martinez guided Belgium to the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2018 and his job now is to go one step further.
Key player: With Kevin de Bruyne a doubt for the tournament Belgium will be leaning heavily on the goals of Romelu Lukaku.

Denmark

Odds: 28-1
Previous best: Winners 1992
Prospects: Familiar foes of Ireland, Denmark have developed into a solid international outfit with a spine to match. Should reach the knockouts, at least.
Manager: Since Kasper Hjulmand took over from Age Hareide last July – the Danes have won eight out of 11 since.
Key player: Denmark have some strong defensive options and behind them they can count on Kasper Schmeichel, who recently won the FA Cup with Leicester.

Russia

Odds: 75-1
Previous best: Winners 1960
Prospects: Russia thrived as hosts and nearly reached the World Cup semis in 2018, but it would be a surprise to see them reach the knockouts this summer.
Manager: Stanislav Cherchesov has been at the wheel since 2016 and his side qualified for the Euros with ease, winning eight of their 10 qualification fixtures.
Key player: Captain and stalwart Artem Dzyuba scored eight goals in qualification and has an impressive 29 from 50 caps.

Finland

Odds: 500-1
Previous best: First appearance.
Prospects: History beckons for Finland, who are heading into their first ever major tournament. They recently beat Ireland home and away in the Nations League.
Manager: A former primary school teacher, Markku Kanerva took over in 2016 and has gone on to make history.
Key player: Finland's qualification was powered by the goals of Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki. His tally of 10 was bettered only by Harry Kane (12), Cristiano Ronaldo (11) and Eran Zahavi (11).
