Brighton (17) v West Brom (5)
Brighton strikers Glenn Murray and Tomer Hemed should be fit. Murray (ankle) and Hemed (thigh) are back in training to boost Albion's attacking options, with Izzy Brown (hamstring) and Sam Baldock (knee) still out. Steve Sidwell (back) and Beram Kayal (broken leg) are also sidelined but right back Ezequiel Schelotto can be added to the squad following his deadline-day switch from Sporting Lisbon.

Captain Jonny Evans is available after hamstring trouble for West Brom, whose boss Tony Pulis must decide whether to include new signings Grzegorz Krychowiak and Kieran Gibbs in his squad – both players are fit but short of match-sharpness. Gareth McAuley is back in training after a thigh injury but Saturday’s game will come too soon for him, while Hal Robson-Kanu is still suspended.

Winger Nikola Vlasic will be part of the squad for the first time since joining on deadline day while striker Oumar Niasse has been recalled to the squad. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and midfielder Davy Klaassen have recovered from thigh and foot issues respectively.

New signing Serge Aurier is unlikely to start for Spurs. The defender arrived back from international duty on Thursday but Kieran Trippier has recovered from an ankle issue and should start at right back. Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose are both out with knee injuries while Erik Lamela is still around a month away from competitive action following a hip problem.

Leicester (15) v Chelsea (6)
Leicester could include new signing Aleksandar Dragovic in their squad – the defender joined the club on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen on the final day of the summer transfer window. Nampalys Mendy and Danny Drinkwater have departed since the loss to Manchester United, while Robert Huth (ankle) and Vicente Iborra (groin) are training again but this match comes too soon for both.

Chelsea can pick from full strength with a clean bill of health following the international break. Playmaker Eden Hazard is fit again after ankle surgery, while Danny Drinkwater is in line for his debut against his former club.

Southampton (8) v Watford (7)
Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk has rejoined first-team training after remaining with the club at the end of the transfer window, but is short of match fitness. Fellow Dutchman Wesley Hoedt could make his debut having been an unused substitute in the goalless draw at Huddersfield before the international break following his move from Lazio.

Watford could be boosted by the return of Younes Kaboul and Daryl Janmaat. The defensive duo were both injured in the club’s opening-day draw against Liverpool. Sebastian Prodl will be assessed after he limped off in Austria’s World Cup qualifier against Wales. Miguel Britos (suspended), Craig Cathcart and Mauro Zarate (both knee) are unavailable.

Stoke (11) v Man Utd (1), 5.30 – Live on BT Sport 1
Stoke skipper Ryan Shawcross misses out with a back injury, so new signing and fellow centre half Kevin Wimmer could make his debut. Midfielder Darren Fletcher is hoping to shake off a knee injury and Mame Diouf (knee) could also return to contention but winger Maxim Choupo-Moting is doubtful after straining his hamstring while on international duty with Cameroon.

United boss Jose Mourinho will assess those returning from international duty ahead of the match. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo (both knee) remain long-term absentees, while Andreas Pereira has joined Valencia on loan. Luke Shaw and Ashley Young have stepped up their return from serious injuries with the Under-23s.

SUNDAY

Burnley (10) v Crystal Palace (19), 1.30 – Live on Sky Sports Premier League
Burnley's Irish midfielder Jeff Hendrick is a major doubt – he missed the 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Wembley a fortnight ago with a tight thigh and faces a late fitness test on the injury. Jon Walters made a successful return from a knee injury with Ireland during the international break, and boss Sean Dyche has no further concerns.

New Palace defender Mamadou Sakho remains short of match fitness and longer-term absentees Wilfried Zaha and Connor Wickham are also out with knee injuries. James Tomkins came off with a hamstring problem in last month’s defeat by Swansea but is expected to be passed fit, as are Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Sullay Kaikai.

Swansea (13) v Newcastle (14), 4.0 – Live on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event
Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches is likely to make his Swansea debut after joining on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich – but fellow deadline day signing Wilfried Bony has to build up his fitness levels and could be among the substitutes. Jordan Ayew has recovered from a stomach problem but Kyle Bartley (knee ligaments), Nathan Dyer (Achilles) and Ki Sung-yueng (knee) remain out.

Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey returns from a ban but Aleksandar Mitrovic is suspended. Chancel Mbemba has a hamstring injury suffered on international duty with the Democratic Republic of Congo, joining fellow defender Paul Dummett (also hamstring) on the sidelines. DeAndre Yedlin (hamstring) and Florian Lejeune (ankle ligaments) are training and striker Dwight Gayle has shaken off his hamstring problem.

Andy Carroll is in the West Ham squad for the first time this season — the striker has recovered from his latest injury lay-off, a thigh problem. Defender Winston Reid is fit after calf trouble but midfield duo Manuel Lanzini (knee) and Edimilson Fernandes (ankle) are out injured while winger Marko Arnautovic completes a three-match ban.

Huddersfield’s Abdelhamid Sabiri and Florent Hadergjonaj are in contention to make their debuts. Midfielder Sabiri and defender Hadergjonaj featured in the friendly win against Altona 93 in Germany and are likely to be named in David Wagner’s squad. Goalkeeper Rob Green could also be included, striker Collin Quaner (knee) will be monitored, while all eight internationals have returned in good health.
