Bardsley joins Villa on loan

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Phil Bardsley on loan from Manchester United till the end of the season

Bardsley, who has previously had loan spells with Burnley and Rangers, will make his first appearance for the club in tomorrow's reserve team clash with Fulham at Villa Park.

The right-back  will get in some match practice for the second team in a game switched from the Bescot Stadium because of a waterlogged pitch.

Aston Villa's manager Martin O'Neill said: "We were keen for the game against Fulham to go ahead so we decided to switch to Villa Park rather than have it postponed."
