Connacht Under-18 0 Ulster Under-18 23:TWO TRIES from Conor Shiels saw Ulster recover from last week's mauling at the hands of Leinster to defeat Connacht at the Sportsground yesterday.

Shiels crossed either side of half-time and winger Rory Campbell touched down five minutes from time to inflict a second defeat on an outclassed home side.

Playing with a stiff wind at their backs, two penalties from Jack Owens got Ulster off to a flyer, and after Shiels’s neat sidestep fooled the Connacht defence five minutes from the break, Ulster led 13-0.

Shiels nabbed his second try midway through the second half and five minutes from time Campbell chased down his own kick to score as Ulster recovered well from last week’s 68-5 hammering.
