A top-class display by Maurice Sheridan guided NUIG to success over GMIT before an estimated crowd of 3,000 at Dangan yesterday. NUIG led by 1-5 to 0-3 at the interval with Sheridan scoring their goal.

GMIT received a blow in the 49th minute when Declan Boyle was sent off and NUIG capitalised scoring 1-2 in three minutes - two points from Sheridan and a goal from substitute Michael Keane.
