Rugby World Cup/Pool B: French coach Bernard Laporte talks about revenge with a smile on his lips

Rugby World Cup/Pool B: French coach Bernard Laporte talks about revenge with a smile on his lips. His side, he says, will be out to right a 79-year wrong today against the United States.

The Americans' only success against the French in five meetings was a 17-3 victory in the final of the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, the last time rugby union was an Olympic sport.

France go into their last pool game, a match "without consequence", with a second-string side. Hooker Yannick Bru deputises for Fabien Galthie as captain.

Asked if his team could win in Wollongong, US coach Tom Billups said: "We would have to play out of our skins."
