American Football:Josh Scobee kicked a last-minute field goal to give the Jacksonville Jaguars a dramatic, 31-29 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in their AFC Wild Card play-off game on Saturday.

The Jaguars looked to have blown an 18-point lead, gained with the help of two touchdowns from the outstanding Maurice Jones-Drew, when Pittsburgh fought back with two fourth-quarter touchdowns to gain the upper hand.

With the clock running down, Jacksonville quarterback David Garrard ran for 32 yards on fourth down to set up the field goal chance which Scobee coolly converted from 25 yards to win the game.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Washington Redskins 35-14 in their Wild Card game, scoring 21 fourth-quarter points, to set up an NFC divisional play-off clash with the Green Bay Packers.

Seattle took a 13-0 lead before the game sprung into life in a thrilling final quarter.

Two touchdowns brought the Redskins roaring into the lead, but then Seattle struck back when DJ Hackett received a 20-yard pass from Matt Hasselback.

Seattle went 28-14 up after Marcus Trufant intercepted a pass from Redskins quarterback Todd Collins, his first all season, and sprinted 78 yards for a superb touchdown, and then Jordan Babineaux ran 57 yards on another interception to put the game beyond Washington.
