David Wallace was the only player to sit-out training today as Eddie O'Sullivan's Ireland squad prepare ahead of their autumn international against South Africa at Lansdowne Road on Saturday (5pm).

The session was held at St Gerard's School in Bray and Wallace didn't train because his ankle injury flared-up over the weekend. The Ireland medical staff will monitor his progress over the next 24-hours.

The South Africa team will be named on Wednesday from their base at Dunboyne Castle Hotel as they train at the Garda Club in Westmanstown for the week.

Meanwhile Ireland forward Paul O'Connell is among the nominations for International Rugby Board (IRB) player of the year.
