Marc Lievremont has opted for experience when naming his squad to face Wales in Saturday's Six Nations Championship title decider in Cardiff.

The France coach has made six changes in total but could not resist satisfying his penchant for selection shocks one last time by omitting wing Aurelien Rougerie.

Les Bleus need a 20-point win over Warren Gatland's unbeaten side to retain their title and Lievremont, who has been so willing to blood fresh talent this tournament, has chosen to go with the tried and tested for this  weekend.

Toulouse quartet William Servat, Thierry Dusautoir, Jean-Baptiste Elissalde and wing Cedric Heymans return, while there are also recalls for Stade Francais outhalf David Skrela and Clermont-Auvergne number eight Elvis Vermeulen.

Flanker Ibrahim Diarra (thigh) and centre Yann David (calf) made their debuts in Sunday's 25-13 win over Italy but drop out through injury.

Hooker Guillem Guirado, number eight Louis Picamoles and scrumhalf Julien Tomas are the other players to miss out.

Rougerie's absence is a surprise, given his try against Italy and the danger he posed to the Azzurri throughout. He was also denied a try by a brilliant intervention by Mirco Bergamasco when he looked certain to touch down.

It is the first time this tournament that Lievremont has not selected an uncapped player in his squad.

France, who have won the last two Six Nations, go into this weekend two points adrift of Wales and with an inferior points difference of 38.
