Porter and Kelleher fit for Connacht clash but still no Ryan or Baird for Leinster

Province issues mixed injury update ahead of Friday’s crucial Champions Cup second leg

Leinster frontrow duo Ronan Kelleher and Andrew Porter have returned to training ahead of Friday's crunch clash with Connacht, the province has confirmed. Jordan Larmour also has returned to full fitness and is eligible for selection.

The news comes as a big boost as all three missed the Champions Cup last-16 first leg victory away to Connacht. Leinster take a slender five point advantage into the home fixture at the Aviva on Friday (5.30pm kick-off).

Both Porter and Kelleher have been out since the Six Nations. Kelleher hasn’t played since the France match on February 12th while Porter last lined out against Italy on February 27th before an ankle issue flared up.

However, no further updates have been issued on the fitness of James Ryan and Ryan Baird, meaning the province's secondrow stocks for the upcoming game will still be depleted. Ryan continues to miss time after suffering a concussion during Ireland's Six Nations victory over England while a back injury remains the issue for Baird.
