THE organiser of the FBD Milk Ras, Dermot Dignam, yesterday revealed the route for the annual event from Saturday, May 18th to Sunday 26th. A total of 828 miles will be covered in nine stages, including the most testing outings in Donegal.
As usual the start is in Dublin with the finish in Swords for the third year in a row. And it goes as far south as Millstreet and then up through Castlebar to take in Malin Head.
The first stage is to Kilkenny. Stage two is 103 miles to Millstreet - a new overnight stop - with Nenagh the destination the next day. Then it's on to Castlebar and Letterkenny and following the two tough stages in Donegal, there is a hard run to Newry on the second-last day.
