Golf Digest: England's Justin Rose made a big leap through the field with a superb eight-under-par 64 for a three round total of 12-under-par 205 at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in California yesterday

Switching to the PGA West course - one of four being used for the five-round celebrity pro-am - Rose burst from four under par overnight to 12 under and from 47th place to fifth.

Chad Campbell still set the place however, and after a first nine of four-under-par 32 was still four shots clear of of Australian John Senden. John Cook also made sure of weekend golf with a third round 63 that included seven birdies and an eagle.

World Cup: World number one Annika Sorenstam and Liselotte Neumann fired four birdies each to propel Sweden into a share of the lead after a seven-under-par 65 in the opening day fourballs at the Women's World Cup at Sun City in South Africa.
