Cistercian College caused a mild upset at Portlaoise yesterday when they defeated Kilkenny CBS in the Leinster quarter-final. Last year's `B' All-Ireland champions trailed 0-4 to 0-0 after 10 minutes and by half-time were 0-6 to 1-2 behind despite a Brian Connolly goal.

With 15 minutes remaining a goal separated the sides and when Connolly , son of the famous Joe of Galway fame, blasted his second goal, Roscrea were on their way to the semi-final.
