Sigerson Cup/ Dublin IT 1-17 University College Cork 1-12 (AET - 0-12 to 1-9 after normal time):Mayo's Aidan Kilcoyne and Mark Vaughan of Dublin propelled DIT to victory over UCC in a scintillating tie at Grangegorman.
The deadly duo contributed 11 points between them. Fourteen-man DIT (who had Paul Flynn dismissed for an early striking offence) trailed by 0-6 to 0-4 at the interval and a goal from UCC's Seán Kelly increased the Cork college's lead to five points.
But the home side rallied to make it 0-12 to 1-9 at the end of normal time and Declan McGuinness's late goal in extra-time sealed their victory.
