John Reid made a welcome return to action in Ireland after a serious leg injury when partnering a big race double at the Curragh with Zomaradah and Haami.

Zomaradah needed a strong drive from Reid to take the featured Royal Whip Stakes. The Luca Cumani-trained filly rallied strongly under pressure in the final 100 yards to deny Strategic by half a length.

Haami had things a lot easier half an hour earlier in the Ridgewood Pearl Desmond Stakes. John Dunlop's charge dictated matters and quickened clear a quarter of a mile out for a convincing three and a half length success over Castle Quest.

Aidan O'Brien dominated the remainder of the card with a near 69/1 treble. The Ballydoyle trainer kept up his domination in juvenile races when Royal Kingdom made virtually all the running in the Listed Flame Of Tara Tyros Stakes. O'Brien also teamed up with Kinane to land the Great Connell Handicap with Maltesse. The four-year-old dual purpose filly, successful in a maiden hurdle at Tramore on Thursday, headed Ansar in the final stride, while Rubies From Burma made all under Colm O'Donoghue in the Modus Media Summertime Handicap.
