Mirror Group Plc said yesterday it plans to set up a television venture with Rangers. The joint venture, called Rangers Television Ltd, will cover matches at the club's Ibrox stadium, organise coverage of important away games, and develop electronic commerce opportunities, Mirror said in a statement.
Mirror, owner of The Mirror tabloid as well as cable channel Live TV, said it is in talks with several undisclosed broadcasters about developing a Rangers Club TV show.
Mirror's Live TV struck a deal last year with another Scottish - Hearts - for a local cable TV fanzine featuring match coverage.
