The number of qualifying rounds on the National Rally Championship next year will be reduced to 10 instead of 14 events, with competitors best eight scores to count.

The mandatory limit of 130 starters is being raised to 150, and to further alleviate the problem of huge number of entries for some events in particular, four additional single stage rallies will be run in 2000.

The National Rally Championship dates in 2000 are: March 12th-Mayo; March 26th-Galway; April 9th-Kerry; May 7th-Carlow; May 28th-Cavan; June 4th-Limerick; July 9th-Connacht; August 13th-Tipperary; September 3rd-Clare; October 29th-Skibbereen.

This weekend Dublin driver Michael Cullen drives a 180 m.p.h. Ferrari F355 in the SixHours Relay at Homestead, Florida, a high speed oval speedway.
