Oughterard members celebrated the opening of their re-designed course and new clubhouse on Sunday

Oughterard members celebrated the opening of their re-designed course and new clubhouse on Sunday. Since 1998 the Club has spent in the region of £2 million in upgrading the course and clubhouse. Paddy Merrigan was commissioned to re-design the course to incorporate 18 new USGA standard greens and provide new teeing ground for various categories of golfers. Merrigan, with the aid of Tom Bryan as contractor excelled in the challenge and provided Oughterard with an end product that will challenge the best.

Meanwhile, Simon J Kelly designed a new clubhouse to incorporate the natural stone courtyard, thus providing members and visitors with every convenience.
