UCC DEMONS forward Niall O’Reilly is hoping his side can put an indifferent campaign behind them to make an impact in the men’s SuperLeague play-offs, starting with Sunday’s quarter-final meeting away to Belfast Star.

Demons secured their third win of the season against their play-off opponents in the regular season last weekend but the Blackrock native saw enough to know his side face another difficult assignment.

“Our game away to Belfast Star on Sunday is shaping up to be a very difficult game for us, and if last Sunday’s game is anything to go by, we will have our work cut out to go and win again,” said O’Reilly.

Demons’ recent win was in no small part down to O’Reilly, who secured 24 points to follow up with the 15 points he contributed the week previous against UCD/Marian. “Star have been excellent in the league since they acquired Kevin Ratzsch, who is as good an all-round player as there is in the league,” added O’Reilly.
