Anyway, former Republic of Ireland Youths international Kevin Nugent has been named Cardiff City's Player of the Year. Nugent, who celebrated his 30th birthday this month, has possibly had the best playing season of his 12-year career, scoring 21 goals for the Bluebirds this season.
It should see them promoted from the third to the second division of the Nationwide League. In announcing the decision, Cardiff manager Frank Burrows said: "Kevin has scored goals and worked incredibly hard both off the pitch on his fitness level and on the pitch with no little skill".
So the reward? A luxury weekend for two from sponsors the Copthorne Hotel in Cardiff.
