Not staying putt

London Irish's New Zealand born scrum-half Kevin Putt is expected to re-establish his Irish connections this summer. The former Springbok is rumoured to be quitting London Irish at the end of the season and has been linked with a return to Terenure College with whom he previously played, this time though with more coaching responsibilities.

There is also speculation linking him with an ancillary coaching role in Ulster. His experience of New Zealand and South African rugby would provide a vast reservoir from which to draw.
