Northern Ireland Blind Golf (NIBG) are hosting the inaugural Celtic Cup International with Scotland Blind Golf (SBG) on Saturday and Sunday next at the Hilton Golf and Country.
The competition will be played over two days with foursomes on Saturday followed by six singles on Sunday. The Northern Ireland team includes Drew Cochrane (Galgorm), Michael Gardner (Whitehead), Nigel Gardner (Whitehead), Tony McEvoy (Allen Park), Jan Dinsdale (Ringdufferin), and Paul Canavan from Killymoon.
This is new ground for the Northern Ireland team as Scotland and England have been playing internationals for a number of years. However, the intention is that this will become an annual event with Northern Ireland travelling to Scotland next year.
