National League: Premier Division preview

Dundalk v Galway United (7

Dundalk v Galway United (7.45) - If early season form is anything to go by then Dundalk may well compound the misery of Galway United this evening when Dave Connell's side will arrive at Oriel Park looking to steady the ship a little after last week's hammering by Bohemians.

The visitors arrive without Billy Clery (suspended) and Brendan O'Connor, who tore knee ligaments in training. Connell will need several of his regulars to lift their game if the team is to avoid a fourth defeat in five games.

Martin Murray's side will be looking to build on the weekend's fine result in Cork where James Keddy's extremely late goal was enough to give them all three points. Martin Reilly is expected to miss the game, however, due to a groin strain while Jonathan Prizeman remains a doubt due to a toe injury. If Reilly misses out Murray may start John Ryan up front after the former Bray Wanderers striker did well when he came on at Turner's Cross. If he does start it is likely to be alongside his nephew, recently-signed Ger Robinson.

Bryan McCrystal, meanwhile, is suffering from a torn cruciate ligament and with Stephen McGuinness on the verge of starting a two-match ban, Murray says he is looking at the possibility of bringing in another central defender.
