Munster, using the occasion to field most of their second-string team, easily disposed of the Moroccan challenge in the last of the tourists' games at Musgrave Park yesterday.

The outcome was never in doubt from the opening quarter. By then, Munster had eased into a 25-point lead and it left the battling Moroccans with an uphill struggle. To their credit, they did strike back with two finely executed tries from Karin El Oula and Mokhtar Oufriche before the break but that was about as good as it got.

Despite showing some lovely touches and playing a typical French brand of rugby, they neither had the control nor the possession to sustain their challenge.

Munster pulled clear with tries from Ben Cronin, Tom Tierney (two) and Ronan O'Gara, who also kicked two conversions, and the best Morocco could offer in the second half was a spectacular try from Youssef Benzidi which Oufriche converted.
